Sam Alba is currently co-founder and vice president of engineering at Dagger, and is the former vice president of engineering at Docker. He joined Docker as the first employee in 2010. He spearheaded the engineering group, scaling it from three to 100 members and oversaw functions such as program management, security, QA, talent acquisition, infrastructure and support. Subsequently, he led the core product and engineering groups, responsible for supporting various key Docker products. He also contributed to the design of new products, including expanding Docker's reach into edge computing. His journey included contributions to projects like dotCloud, Hipache, Docker, OpenStack Nova and dockerclient.
