Editor’s Note: We are are at AWS Re:Invent this week where I will be posting about AWS news with and reports from the show floor. I am particularly interested in the developer tool ecosystem players so I expect to spend most of my time talking to users and the companies here that are part of the AWS ecosystem. Expect a series of short posts from the conference — a bit different than what we usaully do. But the goal is to give a flavor for who’s here and the pulse of what’s happening in this new stack world.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is launching its “3.0” model of the Test Drive program at re:Invent as part of its partner summit Keynote. This is not the most exciting news but it does show the big push AWS will make in its push for enterprise customers.
For the event, AWS has developed a catalog with new test drives drives from Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Red Hat, Siemens, NetApp and others. It includes new Test Drives for security, management, content management, line-of-business, HPC, big data, and health sciences. There are new Test Drives from Asia Pacific, Latin America, Japan, Europe, and for AWS GovCloud (US).
Here’s more from the AWS blog post this morning.
