Tell Us About Your Service Mesh Usage

The survey is now closed.
The New Stack has published over 65 service mesh articles and podcasts since 2017. In preparation for the next 65, we created a three-question poll that needs your input. Take this three-question survey by clicking on the following button or at the bottom of this page.
The first question asks about the extent to which organizations are using service meshes to control microservices within Kubernetes environments. Then, we look at how important service meshes are to broader efforts to improve application traffic control, observability and security for distributed systems. The results will distinguish between generic interest and real plans for this much-hyped technology.
The third question is a request for input about additional research questions that can we investigate, either with a survey or with old fashioned shoe-leather reporting. Depending on the community’s interest, we can focus on topics such as how security policies work in hybrid environments, the importance of integrated control and data plane components, and adoption rates of specific technologies and vendor solutions.
The New Stack plans to conduct more mini-surveys to provide data-informed context to future editorial coverage. If you or your company is interested in conducting more in-depth survey research about cloud native topics, please reach out to Lawrence Hecht.
