Woot! You Found Our Secret Ebook Page

“Fortune Favors the Prepared Mind” — Louis Pasteur
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! You’ve stumbled on this article during our early launch phase of our next eBook, “Monitoring and Management with Docker and Containers.” The book is currently available to download on the website, but we don’t officially launch until Monday. That makes you part of an exclusive readership that gets to read the ebook just a little bit earlier than everyone else, I hope you like it!
You might have seen me say before that this ebook series has proven difficult — but I probably wasn’t emphasizing the challenges enough. The container ecosystem is huge. It was big when we started, and it’s only gotten bigger as we’ve published this series over the last year and a half. Being able to cover it with any kind of comprehensive scope was daunting, to say the least. It’s helped us identify and refine what it means to focus on ecosystem-level analysis. And because we like a challenge, we’ll soon be expanding outside of the container ecosystem. That should be fun.
We do want to celebrate just a little bit. This is the fifth and final ebook in the Docker and Container Ecosystem Series. It’s also our sixth ebook overall. We squeaked out a book on Kubernetes if you didn’t catch it. I’m pretty happy with what I would tentatively call a “season one” of The New Stack publications. We’re looking to improve a few things for season two, and I should add that we’d love to hear from you if you have ideas on what we should cover or how we can improve.
Thanks for reading our site and ebooks! And of course, thanks to the sponsors, authors, and TNS staff who have helped make these ebooks happen.
